Services
Each service offered with Solemn Retreat follows the same initial framework:

I will conduct an evaluation to understand the client's background, current issues, and goals through open ended and measured assessments.

Together, myself and client set specific, achievable goals to work towards throughout the treatment.

Sessions may occur weekly, biweekly, or monthly lasting about 45 to 55 minutes each, providing the client with a structured time for discussion and intervention.

The therapist and client will periodically review progress and adjust goals as needed on a frequency of 30 to 60 days.

Individual Therapy
The focus is on addressing personal challenges, emotional difficulties, and mental health issues. This therapy is personalized to the individual's specific needs. The primary goals are to assist the client with helping individuals gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, develop coping strategies to manage distressing situations and/or emotions, develop skills for interpersonal effectiveness, reduce symptoms related to mental health disorders, and assist the client with personal development.

Family Therapy
The main purpose of family therapy is to address specific issues affecting the health and functioning of a family unit.The primary goals of family therapy are assisting family members with communicating more effectively, provide strategies to the family unit to resolve conflicts in a healthy manner, working with the family unit to identify and alter harmful family roles and interactions, as well as working together to strengthen connections and understanding throughout the family unit. Within family therapy, there is always one “identified client.”

Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is a process of identifying interaction and communication patterns that are negatively impacting the friendship, intimacy and fulfillment of needs of one or both partners in a relationship. Each partner will be expected to honestly examine their own interaction and communication styles, identity and express their own feelings, and m are an attempt at experimenting with alternative methods of communicating and interacting. Each partner will be helped to further clarify their own values and their own level of commitment to the relationship and the outcome of the therapy may be increased satisfaction with the partnership or increased clarity about the decision to part ways. Within couples therapy, the couple together is the client.

Skill Based Coaching (Self Pay Only)
Skill building intervention refers to treatment aimed at individuals with difficulties in various skill areas such as, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal skills, emotional regulation, and vocational skills. The to help individuals become more self-sufficient and active participants in their communities. The purpose of this service is to assist individuals at becoming more well-rounded individuals who are self-sufficient and improving their engagement in their community. This service is strictly psychoeducation and facilitation of skills practice.

Behavior Plan Development
A behavior plan is a detailed document that clearly defines the behaviors that need to be changed, sets realistic, measurable goals that the adolescent can work towards, outlines specific methods to encourage positive behavior change (rewards and consequences) and establishes a system for tracking progress and making adjustments to the plan as needed. This is a service that will require the involvement of the adolescent and parents (or guardians) in the development. This service can either be included in treatment for an identified client in family therapy or a separate service.

Yoga Accompanied Psychotherapy (Coming Soon)
Yoga accompanied psychotherapy emphasizes mindfulness and meditation to help clients gain insight into their thoughts and emotions as well as being present in their body. These practices encourage clients to observe their mental processes without judgment, fostering a deeper understanding of their mental health challenges. This service has an emphasis on emotional regulation, mindfulness, and stress reduction.

In-home sessions are a minimum of 2 hours and are reserved for adolescents only.
